A Bit About Myself
My full name is Dylan Robert Ashley. I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, on October 15th, 1992.
I completed my elementary education at École Dickinsfield School in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. Afterwards I moved back to South Africa to complete my High School education at Knysna Montessori School in Knysna, Western Cape, South Africa. At this point I decided to return to Canada and spent two years studying at Keyano College in Fort McMurray before starting at the University of Alberta in 2013.
For as long as I can remember I've loved science and I've been heavily interested in Computing Science research since my first year at the University of Alberta. In the summer of 2015 I completed my first NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award under Professor Jose Nelson Amaral. I worked to generate and analyze workloads for the SPEC version 6 cpu benchmarks.
When I have free time I like to spend it learning new things. Sometimes this leads to me starting projects and occasionally I actually manage to finish a project before life catches up with me.
